London and South East Netball Structure

The London & South East Region is one of 9 regional units covering England. Each region has an elected Regional Management Board (RMB) of volunteers who work closely with England Netball staff. Together we develop and facilitate the delivery of all aspects of netball within the region. Our Region was the home of Martina Bergman-Österberg (initially in Hampsted, but subsequently Dartford in Kent) who played a pivotal role in the early development of Netball as a sport. The London & South East Region became the home of Netball in the United Kingdom and today still has the world's oldest Netball club.

The London and South East region is made up of four counties:

Essex Metropolitan
Kent
Middlesex
Surrey

Each County has their own county committee dealing with local matters, and a Netball Development Officer (NDO) who works to promote and develop netball within the County through clubs and schools.

There are also 2 Netball Development Community Coaches (NDCCs) who are responsible for developing, marketing and coaching England Netball's participation programmes, including the highly popular programmes Back to Netball and Walking Netball.

For more information about the London & South East regional staff, including details about the regional office, head to the contact page of the website.

The Regional Management Board

The Region is governed by the Regional Management Board (RMB) who are supported by Technical Support Groups (TSGs) and Working Groups (WGs) covering a broad range of areas within netball. Every three years the elected officers of the RMB are up for election at the AGM. The structure of the RMB is detailed below.
