Netball Youth Diversion Project

Netball For Good

We’re proud to announce the first ever Netball Youth Diversion Day taking place on Saturday19th June. We’ve teamed up with the Metropolitan Police and London Pulse to bring a day of netball, fun and learning to 25 young Londoners. The day is part of a bigger initiative to support vulnerable young women and use sport as a vehicle for positive change.

The attendees will learn the basic rules of netball, be taken through some skills & drills by London Pulse U21 coach Lisa Brown, and then get the opportunity to participate in match play. After this, there will be a Q&A with London Pulse’s shooting sensation Olivia Tchine who will share her story on how netball has been a positive force in her life, as well as a talk from Janet Hills MBE, Chair of the Metropolitan Black Police Association, who has been coaching and volunteering in the London & South East Region for over 29 years.

We can’t wait for Saturday and what will be the beginning of a netball journey for so many young Londoners. We would like to thank the London & South East Regional Management Board, the Metropolitan Police, London Pulse and England Netball for their support in bringing the project to life.
