Congratulations to London Pulse for winning the inaugural Netball Super Cup!
The Netball Super League created the Netball Super Cup to be a tournament style day of competition, in the lead up to the upcoming Netball Super League season.
With the new era of the NSL, the Netball Super Cup was an exciting day of netball to get a taste of what is to come. We saw all 8 Super League teams in action and the introduction of the ‘super shot’.
London Pulse started their campaign by facing Loughborough Lightning, in what was always going to be an exciting match to watch. Liv Tchine scored the first ‘super shot’ for London Pulse! The match ended 16 all.
London Pulse then faced Leeds Rhinos and lost 13-16. They then faced Cardiff Dragons and won 15-7.
London Pulse then faced Manchester Thunder in a semi-final match. In a nail-biting last 2 minutes, ‘super shot’ from Liv Tchine, and deflection from Funmi Fadoju with 15 seconds left on the clock… London Pulse won 17-16.
The final was between Leeds Rhinos and London Pulse. A solid team performance led to a win for London Pulse (20-15).
