Please see below for an update on Regional Competition from the Chair of the Competition Technical Support Group:
"In light of England Netball’s announcement that modified competitive netball can resume after the 26 September 2020, I realise you are all keen to get back on the court as soon as possible after that date. The current position is that we are still waiting for England Netball to finalise the modified competition structure and confirm the dates for Premier fixtures. The process, as normal, is that Regions will then be able to identify the dates for their fixtures and filter dates down to counties and local leagues.
In addition, clubs, leagues, counties and regions all need to address and comply with the various guidelines and requirements to ensure we can deliver competitive netball safely and in compliance with the government approved Covid policy.
I am sure it may feel as though nothing is happening, however I wanted to reassure you that your committees both at Regional and County level are all working hard to review and assimilate the information from EN and prepare the league structure and rules for the foreseeable future. This involves various remote meetings with Regional Chairs, England Netball Representatives as well as L&SER committees and County committees.
Every effort is being made to ensure modified competition is commenced as soon as possible, however currently there is no expectation on the part of England Netball or L&SER that it will be immediately after the 26 September and it may be a few weeks after that to allow sufficient time for the league structure to be formulated and ensure clubs and leagues have fully implemented the new Covid protocols.
We shall provide further details on the proposed league dates and information about the rules and conditions once this information is available, but please be assured we are working hard to facilitate modified competitive netball being resumed as soon as possible.
