LSE Goalden Globes Awards 2019

On Friday 3rd May, the London & South East Regional Goalden Globe Awards took place to celebrate and acknowledge all of the volunteers in netball in the region. The event was hosted at The Union Jack Club in Waterloo with a 3 course sit down meal followed by the presentation of the awards by Maureen Clark. Over 40 people attended the event including key volunteers in the region and England Netball President Lindsay Sartori.

There were 7 categories of awards being presented. Here are each award and the nominees for each category:

For outstanding contribution to netball club coaching as a volunteer

For outstanding contribution of netball officiating as a volunteer

For outstanding contribution to netball as a volunteer under the age of 25

Mary Bulloch Administrator Award

For outstanding contribution  to netball delivery through administration

Dawn Cox
Muriel McNally Award

The recipient must have at least 10 years’ service at club level in, administration, coaching or umpiring

Edith Skelton
Marlene Wander
Teacher Award

For outstanding contribution to netball delivery through the educational environment

Cara McCartney

Outstanding Netball Club Award

Presented to a netball club for an outstanding contribution within their community

Sabina Netball Club
Eclipse Netball Club                        

 

London & South East Netball would like to say a big thank you to Maureen Clark who helped organise the event as well as the venue the Union Jack Club for providing such a lovely venue with excellent food and service.

Finally a BIG congratulations from the London & South East Team to all the nominees and winners at these awards and the best of luck to the winners at the National Goalden Globe Awards which take place in Liverpool during the Netball World Cup in July.
