With all this glorious weather we have been lucky enough to experience, why not run a netball league run over the hottest months of the year! Back to Netball ladies around London entered in to their very first league over June/July. It’s fair to say we were not worried about being rained on, if anything the rain dance was needed to cool these netballers down. For 7 weeks these ladies layered on the sun cream and came out in full force to get their weekly fix of netball. The final night we played a round robin tournament where their previous points were added to their final score. It was a close one which involved a shootout for runners up. They got just a small taster of the pressure of our wonderful Rose’s player Helen Housby was under to win us the Gold in the Commonwealth. Netballers (who were originally from Clapham Back to Netball ) taking the win, and Streatham Back to Netball ladies taking the silver.
